The Sangeet ceremony is a glitzy pre-wedding celebration where friends and family gather for music, dancing, and applying intricate henna designs on the bride’s hands and feet. It’s a joyful event that symbolizes love, happiness, and the coming together of both families before the wedding.

Theme: Bollywood Red Carpet (yes, there will be a red carpet!) Dress Code: Formal (think glitz, glam, and sparkle)

Hindu Ceremony

September 6, 2026 - Brighton, Michigan

The Hindu Wedding Ceremony is a colorful ritual that unites two people through traditional vows, prayers, and customs performed around a sacred fire. It represents not just the joining of the couple, but also their families and the start of their spiritual journey together. The ceremony takes place at an auspicious time unique to the couple’s star charts. We look forward to welcoming you all Sunday morning to celebrate our union.

Dress Code: Formal

Please refrain from wearing red for the ceremony as this color is symbolic for Hindu Brides. All other colors, including shades of white, are ok

Reception

The Reception will be a warm and relaxed post-wedding celebration held beside a scenic lake, creating the feel of an intimate backyard party. Join us for dinner, music, dancing, and games as everyone celebrates the newlyweds.
